Winks on Wink3r - Because All Users Matter Just as Much

Most adult platforms sell your time twice. First, they show you ads - either their own or from ad networks. Then, they lock genuinely useful or even basic tools behind a subscription. Users of such services who cannot or do not want to afford a premium account are treated like second-class citizens. That won't fly with us.

That is why we built Wink3r the other way around.

The core service is always free. Running a profile, accessing the Feed, galleries, or messages - we treat these as your right. We built our platform to ensure no one is excluded, both in terms of sexual identity and economic status. To keep the platform running, we have to display ads, but in our opinion, our users' time is worth more than any currency.

That is why we are introducing the Wink system!

These are internal points that serve as a reward for the user in exchange for the time spent watching ads. They can be exchanged for additional features that serve as a pleasant add-on or make it easier to connect with other users.

This article describes the new system. A quick reminder is available by clicking on your Wink balance. For the legal basis, please refer to § 6 of the Terms of Service.

Are Ads Necessary?

Running media, moderation, age verification, and ultimately maintaining and protecting servers - all of this costs money. Despite its open nature, Wink3r remains a commercial platform and has no other additional source of revenue. However, we reject the usual deal of: you put up with ads, and you still have to pay.

To sustain the service, we partner with the ExoClick ad network, where advertisers can find our platform and place their ads on it. Ads are currently displayed in the Feed between posts and in the "Profile Viewers" section (to unlock a viewer's profile). In the future, they may appear in other places as well. Nevertheless, we will always do everything in our power to ensure they are not overly intrusive or annoying.

In the case of the Feed, the rules are simple:

1. You can watch an ad.
2. As long as the video is actually playing, we count Winks - only full seconds during the original playback count.
3. You spend these points to instantly unlock a viewer or on other optional add-ons.

You are not buying currency. You are not entering a casino, nor are you unlocking the right to exist on the site. You are getting a receipt for the time you have already given to the platform.

That is exactly what we mean when we talk about respecting your time.

An ad you sit through shouldn't just vanish into a publisher's report. It should appear on your account as something you can actually use.

What Winks Are (and What They Aren't)

Winks are an internal points system on your Wink3r account.

They are definitely not:

• money, electronic money, or a payment card,
• a cash-out voucher,
• something you can sell, gift, or transfer to another profile,
• a lottery or a gambling game.

Winks never expire as long as your account exists. Unspent points stay with you forever.

The costs of add-ons may change over time. The current price is always visible on the button before you confirm the transaction.

If you deactivate your account, your profile disappears from the community, but your Winks remain. If you delete your account (or if we do), your points are forfeited. Detailed information, complaints procedures, and anti-abuse policies are outlined in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We also store transaction logs so that reporting a missing credit never ends with a mere shrug of the shoulders.

How to Earn Them

Watch Video Ads in the Feed

An "Outstream" type ad in the Feed will display a live point count of +x next to the Winks icon. This is a value coming directly from the ad system, which determines the number of Winks awarded for every full second of the video watched.

• Only real playback counts.
• Only full seconds count.
• Pausing, closing, or skipping the ad means you will not receive points for the part you haven't watched.
• Restarting the video after watching it does not reset the counter and does not trigger a new payout. Points are awarded exclusively for the original playback.
• Adult ads from dedicated categories are rewarded at twice the rate of general ads.

Only click on ads if you are genuinely interested in their content and want to explore the presented offer. We do not award extra Winks for clicks alone.

Watch Ads When Unlocking "Profile Viewers"

Unlocking the "Profile Viewers" section is an additional service in itself. You can do this instantly for 200 Winks or watch an ad to achieve the same result.

By choosing the second option, you also receive extra Winks in exchange for watching the ad and unlocking the view. A flat rate applies here for the video and for each displayed banner. Currently, this grants 40 Winks for an ad in a dedicated category, 20 Winks for a general ad, and 1 or 2 Winks for a general or dedicated banner respectively.

Age, Cookies, SFW

Winks are awarded for watching adult ads, which requires successful age verification. Until you pass it, you will only see safe-for-work (SFW) ads. These, however, are not rewarded with Winks. This is an intentional design choice - we do not want to take the risk of rewarding anyone who might be underage. To join the Winks program, make sure to verify your age using one of the available features.

Some ads may not display if you do not grand marketing consent in the cookie banner. Wink3r provides all basic features without requiring you to accept these consents, but without them, the ad slot may remain empty. It is not us hiding the Winks - it is the ad network refusing to serve the ad in that case.

Choose Up to Three Categories

Have you ever wondered why all platforms insist so much on choosing ad preferences? The answer is simple: tailored ads pay better. We are not asking you to do this for free - in return, we reward you with a higher number of Winks.

In the Settings ➔ Preferences tab, after verifying your age, you can select up to three ad categories. The order in which you select them is also the order in which we try to display them.

A dedicated niche that actually interests you (e.g., gay, BDSM, MILF, amateur, etc.) allows you to earn more Winks than a general adult ad. Leaving the list empty means general ads from all categories will be displayed.

We do not send ExoClick your sexuality questionnaire or any other account data apart from one piece of information - your verified age status (yes or no). You decide which categories interest you and what you prefer to watch, while earning more Winks for your time.

What You Can Spend Them On Right Now

One of the add-on options has been available on Wink3r since its launch and has now been upgraded using Winks, while another one is being introduced along with the new system.

Instant Visitor Reveal

Until now, revealing a guest on your "Profile Viewers" tab required watching an ad every single time. From now on, you can also do it instantly, using your Winks.

Currently, this service costs 200 Winks, while the unlock ad itself also allows you to earn between 20 and 40 Winks.

Finding out who has been passionately checking out your profile is about to get even more satisfying!

Message Promotion

Some users receive significantly more messages than others. When writing to a popular person normally, you have to expect that your message might get buried under an avalanche of other chats. Not this time!

Spend your Winks, and your conversation will jump straight to the very top of the recipient's inbox and stay highlighted until they read it.

You can do this for just 500 Winks. However, we advise against abusing this option - if that user blocks you, reconnecting will no longer be possible.

The Future: Money or Winks

We will be adding more optional features. Some people will want to use them without spending extra seconds on video playback. That is only fair. When paid packages arrive, the core rule will remain exactly the same:

In the future, we will introduce an option to disable ads in exchange for a subscription and paid access to additional features. Meanwhile, other users who choose not to buy premium will - just like before - get access to extra options in exchange for watching ads. In turn, core features will never be hidden behind a VIP account wall. Fair, right?

In the future, you will get both current and new add-ons for real money or for Winks.

Wink3r will remain a free service. Payment will never be the only gateway to the platform's core functions. VIP will never mean: "now you are allowed to send a message". If the ad and Winks formula works for you - you can stick with it. On the other hand, if you prefer fewer distractions and don't have spare time to give - you can buy premium.

That is how you respect all users, not just the ones who pay a subscription fee once a month.
